Gerety Talks in New York: The Art of Making it Happen

The very cold weather these last days in New York did not discourage the Gerety community from getting together in the Big Apple, this time hosted by Final Cut, to celebrate with a champagne cocktail and networking with past and present judges, winners and friends.

The panel this year was held around the theme The Art of Making it Happen

Moderated by Stephanie Paterik GM of Editorial, Editor in Chief The Trade Desk it counted with the participation of:

Ellie Bamford, Chief Strategy Officer, VML

Manuel Frank, Chief Creative Officer at Havas Life New York, Chicago, San Francisco

Alexia Adana, VP, Director of Creative Technology, Edelman

Sarah Roebuck, Executive Producer, Final Cut

Gerety Awards co-founder Lucía Ongay, said: “It is always great to come back to New York to celebrate, with the creative community in this always inspiring and vibrant city. It is a great way to start the year and, as always, get the pulse of the creative vibes taking place right now”.

The conversation started with choosing a colour for 2025, passing on to the perspectives for the agency model with all the changes going on, how AI is changing the economics of advertising and the challenges for marketers with all the current events and political changes going on.

As usual , with the superbowl close ahead, the discussion also covered expectations on the cultural and creative tone of the campaigns to be seen at this important event that the world will be watching, with panellists hoping that the ads will go beyond celebrity participation and show some good creative ideas.
